Enroll at a Charter Public School

RI offers a public school common application to make it easier for families to select and apply to many public schools at once, including charter public schools.

When there are more applications than seats available, RI’s charter public schools are required to hold an impartial lottery governed by RIDE, to ensure strict oversight and a fair and transparent process. Some of Rhode Island’s charter public schools offer statewide enrollment, which means families can apply from any community in the state. Others only enroll from specific communities.

To learn more about enrollment and the common application, including annual deadlines and enrollment criteria, please visit EnrollRI. Information regarding the application and deadlines are updated throughout the year.
